| EVER BEEN A BADASS?

"GOD OF WAR" (PS2, RATED: M, $49.99) If all year you've been craving
action but never quite filled your feeling this is the game. In a short
phrase THIS IS ACTION LAND! CONTROLS: The game controls like a dream
and I truly wish all action platformers performed this greatly and this
easily. Stringing hundreds of different combos together is no longer a
difficulty but simple a timing game. The animations are super smooth so
when you do swing your whip around your head a hundred times you feel
like a badass doing it. From the start of the game your placed on a
pirate ship with groups of baddies to hack and slash all a simple
warm-up for the hydra featured at the end of the level. And don't let
the blue thing you may have seen in commercials fool you because the
actual thing is WAY bigger. The bosses in this game are insanely BIG!
There are only 3 which is a shame there isn't more but thats ok because
all the other mini bosses are great. GAMEPLAY: the great thing is
everything you get is upgradeable and is upgraded by the points (or red
orbs) you get after killing people. And the weapons are really sick so
be sure to get those upgrades going because things get crazy when your
all maxed out, I did a 300 hit combo a couple of days ago because of
it. The other great thing is that each bad guys dies in a very specific
way whether its breaking there shield then bashing their face into the
ground or even going into a full-on mini game to kill them (which may
require you to press the O button many times, or follow a pattern of
buttons). Those are REALLY fun. GRAPHICS: straight up, this is the best
looking Playstation 2 game I have ever seen! EVER!! AUDIO: there's
nothing bad about the audio. every clang, scream, and shank is right
where it is suppose to be while being accompanied by an awesome
orchestra soundtrack. CASE AND POINT; GOD OF WAR is a full on
action-platformer that never sours and keeps you on the edge of your
seat until the bitter end... which is kind of a cliff-hanger.
FINAL SCORE: 1/5 /
MAKE A GAME? FOR YOU? MAKE YOUR OWN DAMN GAME!!

"PARIAH" (XBOX, RATED: M) If you've havent heard of this game yet, let
it be known that it has been called the "halo killer" which is funny
because, well, HALO isnt going to die and one day someone will realize
it. I mean, really now, I've heard so many games out there saying we're
going to kill halo! Now your not stupid. Anyway, just because this game
may not be able to beat Halo, it doesnt mean its not any good. Pariah
is a game with a full fledged campaign and all set in a future war and
you get a sh*t load of guns and can ride and vehicles and blah, blah,
you know the routine. Where this game sticks out above the rest is that
when it comes to multiplayer, you can actually MAKE YOUR OWN LEVELS!
Now yes this has been done before in Timesplitters as some of you may
know but never has it been this in-depthed. The game was really made
just so the multiplayer could get out there. Now the reason its better
than Timesplitters is the boundaries are say WAY larger, the
customazation is literally endless, you can romove/make mountains and
other scenery like water, forest, etc, and you can put already built
building wherever you like or BUIILD YOU OWN! Sound fun? You bet it
does. Now not to ignore the campaign but this is truly a game you need
to get of you have an XBOX and XBOX LIVE. PARIAH hits stores in MAY
